Guru Talks New Album, Gang Starr
Since Guru and Premier split roughly five years ago (for reasons that still remain unclear), following the release of Gang Starr’s sixth studio album The Ownerz, “Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal” has been churning out music with a new beat supplier, New York-based producer Solar. The new pair are now preparing to release their latest unified effort, the follow-up to 2007’s Version 7.0: The Street Scriptures.
......“So why don’t we do this, why don’t we just skip that [discussion] and I’ll just say I am Gang Starr,” Guru replied when asked to address the elephant in the room.
“Gang Starr is me. And it comes out in whatever I do, to the fullest. 7 Grand is the future. Guru and Solar are those intelligent, creative leaders that Hip Hop needs right now, and will be needing… It’s your favorite rapper, the legendary, combined with NYC’s brightest producer. That’s what it’s about.”

DJ Premier Considers Albums With KRS-One & MC Eiht
“I’m thinking about doing a project with MC Eiht [of] Compton’s Most Wanted,” DJ Premier explained to Conspiracy Radio. “We talked about doing an album on my label, and also me and KRS-One talked about doing not Return Of The Boom Bap; we’re gonna do Return Of The Boom Bips. So right now that’s still a go.
An all KRS, Premier album would be great.” Besides a "Criminal Minded" update in recent years, the two are best known for their work together between 1993 and 1995, on the self-titled and Return Of The Boom Bap albums. Compton's Most Wanted used Premier to remix their 1992 song "Def Wish II," a song originally have appeared on Music To Driveby.

April Fool's Day: Deion Sanders -"Must Be The Money".
Back in the early 90's when MC Hammer ran supreme, Mr. "2 Legit 2 Quit" helped out his then good buddy, Atlanta Falcon's defensive back Deion Sanders on the song "Must Be The Money".
For all of you young folks out there, Dieon Sanders aka "Prime Time" was Diddy, when Sean Combs was still throwing parties in college.
However, for all his confidence, flashy apparel and backing of a then still popular MC Hammer, Sanders' foray into music was a disaster.
Even though I posted this "Must Be The Money" as a April Fool's day goof, I'm not going to lie to you, after I watched the video, I couldn't stop singing the hook!
Anybody seen my Hammer pants?
