FACEBOOK POLL ASKS IF OBAMA SHOULD BE KILLED?!?!?
FACEBOOK POLL ASKS IF OBAMA SHOULD BE KILLED:
Survey on social networking site prompts Secret Service investigation.
*The Secret Service is investigating a poll posted Saturday on the social networking site Facebook that asks if President Obama should be assassinated, with possible answers "yes," "maybe," "if he cuts my health care" and "no."
"We are aware of it and we will take the appropriate investigative steps," Secret Service Darrin Blackford told the Associated Press. "We take of these things seriously."
At least 730 people took the user-generated poll before Facebook officials found out about it and yanked it down. Results of the survey were not available.
The company said the person who created the poll has been suspended from using the site.
"The third-party application that enabled an individual user to create the offensive poll was brought to our attention this morning," said Barry Schnitt, Director of Policy Communications for Facebook. "The application was immediately suspended while the inappropriate content could be removed by the developer and until such time as the developer institutes better procedures to monitor their user-generated content."
"We're working with the US Secret Service but they'll need to provide any details of their investigation," he added.
Meanwhile, another Facebook poll has since surfaced, asking "Should the creator of 'should Obama be killed' be arrested?"
Suspect Confesses To Killing Derrion Albert
In the videotaped confession, 19-year-old Silvanus Shannon also said that the victim, Derrion Albert, never struck him, said the spokeswoman, Tandra Simonton. Three teens arrested in Albert's death -- Silvanus Shannon, 19; Eric Carson, 16; and Eugene Riley, 18 -- were seen on the videotape attacking Albert, and were charged with first degree murder and held without bail, Simonton said. Monday night authorities said they charged a fourth suspect, 17-year-old Eugene Bailey, with murder.

Eternia & MoSS – Road to Release ep.11: R.I.P. To Female MCs (Video)
(From 2Dopeboyz) In Episode #11, Eternia provides a scathing critique of the “R.I.P. to All Female Emcees” media hype that recently surfaced. She builds with the legendary MC Lyte & Jean Grae, as all 3 ladies shut down the ‘where are all the female emcees?’ rhetoric that has run rampant. The episode also introduces two other emcees killing the game: True Daley & Nemiss, who murk the stage… and happen to be female.
9th Wonder Takes A&R Position At 101, 10 Album Deal
9th Wonder [click to read] has been recognized for his acclaimed production work with Jay-Z [click to read], Sean Price and Little Brother. Outside of Hip Hop, the North Carolina producer and professor has produced hit singles for Destiny's Child and Erykah Badu as well.
Today it was revealed to HipHopDX that 9th has accepted a Urban A&R position through Arizona-based 101 Distribution. “I just thought it was a good opportunity to get my fans to go to one place,” the North Carolinian producer explains. “CD sales in stores are really going down, labels get in the way and I just thought of a way to put out the album for everybody to go buy it. It’s a supply and demand type thing. I don’t believe in a big, big roll out and all this whatever. I tell my fans to go get it, they get it and I’m straight. And I think 101D is the best place for it.” The union started when the distribution company worked with 9th on distributing his and Wale's Back To The Future mixtape.
In addition to the A&R position, 9th Wonder has agreed to use 101D to distribute 10 releases, reportedly due in the next year. Seven of the 10 releases will be volumes of The Lost Beats. These collections will feature rare and unreleased 9th Wonder instrumentals. Other producers including DJ Premier, J Dilla and Da Beatminerz have done similar releases on vinyl and CD.
Other confirmed releases include a project from Tyler Woods and an official release of Murs & 9th Wonder's third album installment, Sweet Lord [click to read].
“Every record sounds different – every one, and with Murs, it’s the same thing,” 9th Wonder explains. “We just kept every album different. It’s the same concept we have, but every album just sounds different. That’s all. And it’s soul music. I don’t really believe in re-inventing the wheel too much. I just believe in Soul music and that’s what I do.”
