Becomes a Hitmaker with MC Lyte & KFC

The KFC “Hitmaker” contest each year looks for the hottest musician to submit beats in order to win national exposure and prizes with the grand prize winner winning a “Hitmaker” recording studio. In addition, 12 artists will have the opportunity to be featured on KFC’s Pride 360 CD.

Songs will be heard on KFC’s Hitmaker site KFCHitmaker.com and will be made available for download as well as cellular phone ringtones with profits from the ring tone downloads being donated to David Banner’s non-profit organization “Heal The Hood Foundation” which was created by David Banner to support Hurricane victims after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and Rita.

The submitted materials will be judged by rappers MC Lyte and David Banner and must include the KFC’s Pride 360 theme with the keywords Individual, Family, Community and Heritage and should be based around having pride in your community.

David Banner stated that he became a part of the KFC Hitmaker because he loves to help young musicians attain their way and shine in the music business. As for the legendary hip hop artst MC Lyte, she touched on the fact that there are so many talented individuals around that this will be a great way to find them and she looks forward to showcasing artists who know how to use their skills on the microphone to touch on what’s important such as family and community.

Entries are being accepted from now through July 31 and can be mailed in or uploaded, more info at KFCHitmaker.com.
