Election 08: I Do Not Want A Black Man Running My Country"

Thanks to our friends at Keystone Progressive, here is a recent McCain rally in Pottsville, Pennsylvania .

I honestly do not understand how people who are struggling to survive can so be upset at Obama running for president, when George Bush is the person who has done great harm to this country, but at least I know where these racists stand.

But what about the people who are increasingly hiring less and less minorities?

The Labor Department recently reported recently that the national unemployment rate is 6.1%, but for African Americans, the unemployment rate is 11.4%, (19.1 for teenagers). The rate of African-American men seeking but not finding work rose to 12.9% — the highest since 1994.

Philadelphia Tribune , News Reporter Terry Johnson noted that "Some economists argue that the national Black jobless rate or employment-population ratio (the proportion of the working age population with a job) for African Americans is 42 percent of all those of working age. The translation: Almost half of all African Americans who can work aren’t working."

So as scary and ignorant as some of these people are in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, but at least we know where they stand. I can't say the same thing about the various companies across the U.S.
